Spring in the music store

Spring is upon us and the whole country is talking about rapid tests, corona passports and the imminent reopening. I am currently deeply involved in the work of singer Mia Guldhammers and my debut album Tral, Thread & Traditions, which is finished recording and being mixed.

At the same time, I am working on collecting some of the melodies that I have composed over the years in order to publish them on sheet music and with chords so that they can hopefully get out and be played by many more people. I have made an agreement with the small publishing house Edition Switzer.

Actually, part of my stuff is tunes like Ingel's Waltz, The bear chain, The ring and Guest offer, over the years have been recorded and published by a large number of soloists and bands around the world, from the USA and Canada and Australia, over Switzerland and Germany to England and Finland, and it's enough to get you in a good mood.

Last weekend, Mia Guldhammer and I recorded an approximately 30-minute long video concert commissioned by the small exclusive Nisswa-Stämman, which takes place virtually from the small town of Nisswa in Minnesota, USA. As special guests we had three super talented and well-playing musicians from the Danish folk music scene, namely violinist Kristian Bugge, violinist Clara Tesh and flautist, bagpipe and lyre player Mads Kjøller-Henningsen.

The video is being edited as I write this, and we're all very much looking forward to seeing what the Americans say about the music – it's really the first time we're playing together in public.
