Are you bored during your summer vacation? Does it rain? Or do you just for once have plenty of time to immerse yourself?

On RadioFolk.dk's website you can enjoy a whole world of good Danish roots, folk and folk music, and all you need is a phone or a computer with internet access.

At www.radioFolk.dk you get free access to lots of exciting roots, world and folk music, reports, interviews and live music, which you can stream live, stream on demand or podcasts whenever you want. Around the clock!

For example, there are currently more than 40 editions of the magazine program "The cat in the sack", where the host, Morten Alfred Høirup, takes you down into the engine room of folk music, and up to the desk rooms of the musicians. Here you will also find completely unique live recordings with bands and soloists from the Danish folk music scene, recordings that you cannot hear anywhere else.

In this one 4th edition of The Cat in the Sack can you e.g. hear clarinetist Peter Bastian, violinist Hans Jørgen Christensen and cymbal player George Mihalache again, entertain so that laughter resounds at the Halkær Festival in 2014.

Or how about a program like “What's Cooking Folks?“, where international players talk and play music with some of the roots, folk and folk music constellations that are burning through in their local area right now?

One of them is the American fiddler Jamie Fox, Metis Indian from the Belknap Reservation in the state of Montana, as here tells about what happens to the violin music of the Native Americans.

Not to mention the many good live recordings from Tønder Festival with super sharp Danish bands and soloists. You will find them here in the program series People Live!

Or how about an unusual laugh-out-loud and sunny summer report from Music over Præstø Fjord Festival August 2015?

In other words, you can make a good Danish summer rainy day cozy and exciting at any time, by diving into the range of broadcasts on www.radiofolk.dk. Enjoy!
