In the period 16 - 19 October, the band Himmerland will perform in England, where we will play at a few folk clubs and a single world music festival. These are the Rivelin Folk Club in Sheffield and the Hebden Bridge Trades Club in West York, and finally the UK's biggest indoor world music event, the Musicport World Music Festival.

Musicport World Music Festival is located in the old whaling town of Whitby on the English east coast. This is where the Danish Vikings ravaged in their time and this is where Kaptain Cook was educated. And by the way, this was also where Count Dracula once landed when he came to England at the end of the 19th century, according to Bram Stoker's legendary book, "Dracula", which I have read aloud to my son Carl on 12 years in the last few weeks. It's all very exciting.

The festival started in 2000, and is supported by, among other things by Arts Council England, and we are very much looking forward to it.
