THEN WE GOT A DANISH MUSIC AWARD STATUETTE!

On November 26, Gangspil was presented with a Danish Music Award statuette in the category "Tradition of the Year" for our album Gangspil, and not least for our work in spreading the Danish musical tradition in the USA.

More than 50 concerts in 9 states and provinces on the US (and Canadian) West Coast and Midwest, that's been it in 2016 alone, and we're pretty proud of that. We also feel pretty humble, because there was no one in the race who didn't deserve that award.

Kristian was the only one of us three band members who was present, and he could not only pick up our statuette, but also a super deserved one all to himself as Musician/Instrumentalist of the Year.

Now we are about to finish the last tour of the year here on the American west coast, and soon the trip home will be a mixture of piles of work that I have to get to the bottom of, and a starting Christmas spirit that I look forward to diving into a little together with friends and family.
