AMERICAN CAFÉ ORCHESTRA (ACO) TO FINLAND!

The American Café Orchestra is a trio that takes its starting point from the unique collaboration between three good old friends, namely the American fiddler, Ruthie Dornfeld, the Finnish Jew's harp and flutist and bassist, Tapani Varis, and myself. We have been playing together for many years, the band has four releases with traditional music from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Scotland, Ireland, Canada, USA, Venezuela, Brazil and Hungary, on the CV, and in 2012 we released the album "Nightmare Polka ”, exclusively with new music composed for the occasion.

Over the years, ACO has toured in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Germany and the USA, and at the end of June 2014 we meet again, this time to teach at the Finnish Haapavesi Summer School of Music and to perform at the Haapavesi Folk Music Festival in the province of Oulu in Ostrobothnia.
