A year has passed since Himmerland toured Australia and New Zealand for 22 days, a tour which included brought us to The National Folk Festival in Canberra. It was a fantastic experience and ever since we have been hoping to get the opportunity to come back. Now it's finally happening. Himmerland has been invited to perform at the FolkWorld Fairbridge Festival in Western Australia, where they describe us as "Adrenaline-infused Scandinavian roots music with an African heartbeat". The festival is on the weekend of April 25-27, it's autumn in Australia and thus the temperature is down to where it's good for outdoor events.
On the way to Fairbridge we will also be playing venues in the Sydney area and once again at the National Folk Festival in Canberra. We're also playing a few gigs in Melbourne, so all in all we'll be playing venues and festivals across Australia from the 17th to the 27th of April. We are very much looking forward to meeting you all, and to introducing you to some of the brand new material that we are working on right now, and which we will be recording for our upcoming album in May.
