AN ENRICHING BLEND OF TRADITIONAL AND NEWLY COMPOSED MUSIC!

I really appreciate my collaboration with violinist Kristian Bugge and accordionist Mette Kathrine Jensen. We have recorded and released several records together, most recently "Slid din tid" (2015) with music by music director Borcher Madsen, who was born in Falster in 1815.

In Jensen & Bugge + Høirup, we are currently busy mixing the traditional dance music with new material that we compose ourselves, while at the same time arranging the music so closely that it works even better both for listening and dancing to.

New waltzes, polkas, English dances, snorting, and even a new "Russian", all new music that is good to dance to.

You will be able to hear examples of this - and dance to it - around the country in the coming months, e.g. in Mariehaven in Ansager in July and at Maglebrände Old School in September 2016.
