As far as we remember (!) it was in 1977, when I was 16 years old, that I started playing in public with my father Fin Alfred Larsen.
At the beginning I was a reserve in Den Røde Lue – my father's quite active and pretty left-oriented agitation and dance orchestra, but I also played school concerts and the like with, among others, Ejnar Kampp (Tingluti).
Soon I joined Fin Alfred's Wedding Orchestra, where I had the pleasure of learning the craft as a ball musician from and with people like Hans Leonardo Pedersen (sax, flute), Ole Sterndorff (banjo), Anders Hofset (double bass), and many, many more.
Since then we traveled around as a duo and trio with Fin Alfred's enormous repertoire of craftsman songs, soldier songs, farm worker songs, love songs, funny songs, etc. In this connection, we received a Danish Music Award in the category "Danish Visealbum of the Year 2002", for the album "Jokes and craftsman songs" from Copenhagen and the surrounding area", which led to even more concerts across the country.
And we still play together here 40 years later, and with great pleasure. We intend to keep going until the day when we'd rather be sitting by a fireplace drinking port and talking about the old days, and it won't be anytime soon, I can guarantee!
Here are some of the fun places we've played over the years:
Tønder Festival, Ballerup Krämmermarkt, Eventyrenes Klub in Nyhavn, Godtfolk Festival on Fanø, Ullerup Krämmermarkt, Nørrebro Spilletræf, Visens Venner i Kersebærhaven, Spøttrup Medieval Market, Halkær Festival, Kerteminde Havn, Dragør Festival, Arbejdermuseet, Country and Folk Festival, Amagermuseet, Nørrebro Festival , folkBaltica (D), Høstfest in Bonderup, Copenhagen Folk Club, Music over Præstø Fjord, Hagges Musikpub, Skagen Festival, Bardentreffen Nürnberg (D), etc.
