Danish folk music in the old town in Aarhus!

Sunday 26 February at 14:00 – 16:00 I play a very special winter concert with the trio Jensen & Bugge+Høirup in the distinguished old Helsingør Theater in Den Gamle By in Aarhus. It costs DKK 100 to enter, and everyone is of course very welcome.

We have simply rented the beautiful old Helsingør Theater (in Aarhus) to be able to invite to a concert in slightly different surroundings, and Mette Kathrine, who has just visited the theater to check sockets, sound, lights and such, says:

“I was completely speechless by HOW great an experience it is just to be in the room. It is so aesthetic and so adventurous to be in a theater from 1817.”

For my part, I am very much looking forward to playing some of the many melodies and songs from our repertoire of both traditional and recent Danish folk music with Mette and Kristian, and I have heard that you can dance in the orchestra pit.

So come and help turn this fantastic old theater into a new venue also for folk music on Sunday 26 February from 14:00 – 16:00 and bring the family.
